Greg Averbuch is the President of Summit Management Corporation, founded in 1989 following a successful career working with Trammell Crow Ventures, a real estate investment bank located in Dallas, Texas. Summit was started in Greg’s hometown of Huntsville, Alabama and has since moved its headquarters to Atlanta, Georgia.
Greg has been featured in Success Magazine, Choice Hotels Interational (CHH) Report, advertisements for the MainStay Suites brand, and quoted in numerous trade articles. He is the past Chairman of Choice Hotels International marketing committee which is responsible for over $57,000,000 of marketing funds across over 4,000 properties. In addition, Greg has served on the Franchise Advisory Committee for Microtel Inns & Suites and on the Regional Advisory Board for Choice Hotels.
He is a graduate of the University of Texas with Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Finance and Real Estate.
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Shannon is responsible for all aspects of hotel operations including sales, revenue performance, and operational effectiveness. She works to ensure brand standards are upheld and excellent guest service experiences are achieved across all properties. She has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from California State University – San Bernardino. In her free time Shannon is an avid runner and biker. She also enjoys traveling and a good wine tasting.
Project Development Manager
Noe has built an extensive career in the hospitality industry with his experience spanning over 40 years. As Project Development Manager for Summit Management Corporation he provides expertise and assistance with planning, development and implementation of hotel projects. He primarily focuses on new/conversion pipeline projects and assisting with strategic projects for the current portfolio. Noe has a long-standing relationship with Summit Management Corporation. As former Operations Director and General Manager he assisted with the opening and operating of the Sleep Inn Buckhead (currently Holiday Inn Express), Sleep Inn at Court Square, and the SpringHill Suites in Memphis.
Noe lives in Memphis and is an active board member for the Metropolitan Hotel and Lodging Association.
Andy’s career with Summit Management Corporation spans over 20 years. He utilizes his hospitality and financial expertise to oversee the smooth and efficient processing of all financial, accounting for the portfolio of hotel properties. He also provides education and advisement on the value and benefits of internal controls and maintaining an efficient operation to maximize profitability for the Company.
Cheryl brings over 15 years of domestic and international hospitality experience directing daily accounting operations and ensuring financial quality control across our portfolio of hotels. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Food Science from Iowa State University.
Amy is responsible for keeping the corporate office running smoothly and managing with Human Resources across the hotel properties. She also provides support on new developments and strategies for the Company. Amy earned a BS in Human Sciences from Auburn University and enjoys spending as much time as possible on a tennis court.
